“Essential U.S. Records for Genealogy Research”
Presented by: Nancy Loe
A new year is a good time for a new start, and for genealogists that can mean going back to the basics with our research. Reviewing the core records that we use to document our family history allows us to identify sources we may have missed and discover resources that have been recently indexed or digitized. At our February meeting, Nancy Loe of Sassy Jane Genealogy will discuss “Essential U.S. Records for Genealogy Research,” which explores federal and state censuses, military records, courthouse records, newspapers, and migration records for the United States. Record locations and search strategies for family historians are also covered.
About the speaker: About the speaker: After a long professional career in academic archives and genealogy libraries, Nancy Loe, MA, MLS, launched her website, SassyJaneGenealogy.com. This month we will be offering our speaker’s presentation by webinar!
