Beginning Genealogy Class – Evening

November 20 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Beginning Genealogy

Who are you and where are you from? Do you really know or are you relying on family folklore? Come join our class that will give you an overview of what is in store for you if you join in this exciting journey. This class will equip you with organizational skills, resources, and a road map to get your journey underway! No specific skills are needed other than an insatiable interest in your family’s history. Every family has their own special story to tell. Learn about yours!

Handouts will be provided as well as an overview of the resources that are available in our Genealogy Research Center at the Mission Viejo Library. Class size will be limited to 30 in order to provide good interaction during the 2-hour class.

Instructor: Arlene O’Donnell is a Boston University and University of Maryland graduate. An active member of the South Orange County California Genealogical Society (SOCCGS), Arlene has been conducting genealogical research for more than 30 years and teaching classes in genealogy in Orange County for the past 8 years.

Adult Class – Ages 18 & up.
