Membership
Join us and be part of a society dedicated to learning effective genealogy research strategies, organizing your family’s records and stories, and connecting with other friendly local genealogists. We offer a variety of benefits with membership, including opportunities to hear lectures from leaders in the field as well as access to on-line genealogy subscriptions. Additionally, we have an assortment of Special Interest Groups (SIG’s) dedicated to specific ancestral homelands (England, Ireland, Scotland, and Germany, to name a few), research skills, and writing family histories. “We welcome new members and appreciate the enthusiasm of new genealogists,” comments Lynn Souers, our Membership Chair.
Please join us and consider bringing along a friend. The journey is a rewarding one! Visit the membership section of this website and download and print an application, and mail it to the listed PO address. Your membership will be confirmed promptly by Lynn Souers. You’ll be glad you joined our society! Do it today!
For only $25/year ($30 joint membership) you will receive access to our general meetings, guest speakers, and SIG’S plus our information-packed newsletter. That works out to $2.08 a month! What a great bargain!
The SOCCGS Genealogy Research Center is OPEN!
The SOCCGS Genealogy Research Center is open, and Docents are on duty (Times Docents are available) to help you with your genealogy research.
We expect that many of you will be eager to access those locked records on FamilySearch and our other databases (including Newspapers.com and Fold3).
